Who is Hobbes?

Hobbes is my nephew.

Why does my infant nephew need to know about soccer?

Because my value-add to his upbringing is otherwise pretty limited. Also I have a general belief that by talking about soccer I’ll end up being able to cover all sorts of other things.

Why Arsenal?

Mostly because I like Arsenal and I hope to convince my nephew to like them too.
